As Senior Sponsor for LGBT Diversity I am extremely delighted that such high profile LGBT events are happening both in the UK and Globally within BNP Paribas. I would like to remind everyone that PRIDE week isn’t just for those who identify as LGBT but all events are open to all staff: LGBT and Allies. Creating an inclusive workplace is the responsibility of every BNP Paribas member of Staff – including Line Managers, and developing a culture of Openness forms part of our new Group Values to ensure BNP Paribas is a Good Place To Work and in this vein I would encourage you all to take part.
Global Head of Primary Markets and Origination
Ludovic de Montille
Reflecting our ongoing commitment to developing our Diversity & Inclusion agenda, this year BNP Paribas will participate in PRIDE Week, a celebration of all aspects of the LGBT community, from Monday 20 June.
PRIDE Week at BNP Paribas UK will comprise a series of events in our offices. Core to our approach is the business case for LGBT inclusion – namely, developing an inclusive workplace is essential to attracting and retaining talent, ensuring all employees are valued, and diversity of thought supported. In so doing, we will demonstrate respect for differences within the bank, better serve our clients and engage with the communities in which we operate.
I encourage each of you to participate in the events and help further embed diversity and inclusion into how we do business here at BNP Paribas.
Ludovic de Montille
UK Chairman, BNP Paribas Group
LGBT is core to our Diversity & Inclusion strategy here at BNP Paribas UK and we have a clear business target of becoming a Stonewall Top 100 Employer. Whilst only 10% of the UK population may identify as LGBT, many more of our Staff know an LGBT person - either inside or outside of work, and it is in this vein that we will also be launching out PRIDE Allies program during PRIDE Week. In addition, I am delighted that our US, French and Belgian colleagues are joining in BNP Paribas PRIDE week celebrations - a clear indication that cultural change in underway in BNP Paribas, to ensure we develop our Driving Forces of Openness to build on our Strength of BNP Paribas being a Good Place To Work. Along with Ludovic and Martin, I would encourage you to participate in BNP Paribas’ UK PRIDE Week.
